This course has made a large impact on my approach towards patients, more importantly the marginalized. It has made me understand the need for treating the patient more than treating the disease. As I decided to work in missions, this course has given me a wider perspective in handling a wide range of patients especially in rural setups. Recognizing, understanding and providing a solution for the patients untold problems are made practical through this course.

It was indeed an enriching experience while doing the DFID course. It helped me a lot to gain nibroad insight in managing diabetic patients and to attain a holistic approach in management. Beside this the learning experience was enjoyable as it involved hands-on training where required with a very supportive team. The PGDFM Course has improved my consultation and examination skills. It has made me understand the importance of the golden minute in consultation, 3 stage assessment, door knob phenomenon. These consultation skills give the core information about the patient, his family and the environment. Including red flags and safety netting in the consultation have reduced the number of references. It has made me ‘treat more and refer less.’ It has enhanced my technical skills through online classes, assignments and project work. It has made me study again and enhanced my theory knowledge. I was supported, motivated and encouraged by the teaching staff.

Our faculty conveyed the content in a coherent and absolutely comprehensible manner, which incorporated practical experience as well. They would answer questions at any time (even after the official end of the day!) This course amalgamates gaps between theory and practice masterfully.
